Investigating Internet Addiction and Sleep Quality Correlation Among Students of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in 2021

Background: The quality of sleep plays an important role in physical development, as well maintaining and mental health. Approximately 20% Iranian students suffer from Internet addiction, 56% insomnia. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the relevance addiction among Isfahan University medical sciences students. Methods: cross-sectional was conducted a questionnaire at Medical Sciences Isfahan. collected data had three components: (1) Demographic information, (2) with Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), (3) amount internet use 20 Addiction Tests (IAT). Logistic regression used find any association between quality. Results: A total 562 female male participated study, mean age 21.41 ± 1.87. users moderate mild poorer than those normal severe addiction. analysis showed scores (OR = 1.035: 1.02, 1.04, P < 0.001). In addition, poor also predicted by subgroups "excessive use" "anticipation". Conclusions: relationship significantly negative. Universities all educational institutions can it control effects abuse
